Claim Procedure
Last updated: 2026-05-16
This Claim Procedure (the "Procedure") explains how Buyers may submit a claim if additional damage is discovered on a Vehicle purchased through Bid2Doors, operated by Litway Motion sp. z o.o.. It supplements the Terms of Order.
§1. Scope of Application
- This Procedure applies only to the situations described in §2 (damage discovered at the loading terminal in the United States) and §3 (damage discovered after delivery to the Buyer).
- By placing an Order through the Website, the Buyer accepts the conditions of this Procedure.
- Other types of claims — in particular those concerning the Vehicle's overall technical condition, completeness of equipment, accuracy of description, or any warranty against the Auction House or seller — are excluded, since vehicles are sold under the "AS-IS" principle (see §4 below).
§2. Claims for Damage Found at the Loading Terminal
- A claim may be made if photos taken at the loading terminal in the United States show new damage on parts that were visible without damage in the Auction House (Copart / IAAI) photos, and which must have occurred while the Vehicle was stored at the Auction House yard.
- Auction Houses do not offer financial compensation for damage occurring on their yards. In such cases the only available remedy is returning the Vehicle to the auction.
- For the claim to be accepted, the Buyer must obtain approval from the relevant Auction House yard manager for the return of the Vehicle.
- The Buyer covers the cost of transport between the auction yard and the loading terminal (both directions).
- The claim must be submitted within 5 days of receiving the loading terminal photos and before the Vehicle is loaded into the container. Damage not reported within this period cannot be compensated later.
- Refunds for the paid amount are processed within 30 days from acceptance of a valid claim.
- This claim does not cover:
- loss of keys while the Vehicle was awaiting sale;
- loose parts that were not handed over to the driver;
- A claim is admissible only if:
- the value of the damage or missing parts exceeds USD 500 (Buyer's deductible);
- the damage requires repainting more than two parts of the Vehicle.
- If the Auction House yard manager does not approve the return, no claim may be brought against the Operator.
- To start this type of claim, send an e-mail to damages@bid2doors.com with the subject
Return to auction [VEHICLE VIN], within the time limit stated in point 5 above.
§3. Claims for Damage Found After Delivery
- A claim for financial compensation may be made if, after the Vehicle is delivered to the Buyer, new damage is discovered on parts that were visible without damage in the loading terminal photos.
- A claim is admissible only if:
- the value of the damage or missing parts exceeds USD 500 (Buyer's deductible);
- the damage requires repainting more than two parts of the Vehicle.
- The claim must be submitted within 5 days of receiving the Vehicle.
- The claim must include photographs taken at a comparable distance and quality to the loading terminal photos — in particular for windshield cracks or paint scratches.
- The repair method, including replacement parts and labour rates, should match the approach used for the original vehicle damages.
- This claim does not cover:
- parts that were already damaged prior to shipping;
- parts lost or damaged because they could not be properly secured (loose or broken pieces falling off);
- damage or soiling caused by natural weather conditions (rain, moisture, sun exposure).
- To submit this type of claim, write to damages@bid2doors.com with the subject
Post-delivery damage [VEHICLE VIN]and attach the required evidence.
§4. AS-IS Sale
- Vehicles purchased through Bid2Doors are sold under the AS-IS principle.
- AS-IS means:
- the Vehicle is sold in the exact condition it is in at the time of auction;
- neither Bid2Doors nor the Auction House provide any warranties or guarantees as to the technical condition, completeness of equipment, or accuracy of the description;
- information in the Vehicle listing is provided for reference only;
- it is the Buyer's sole responsibility to verify the actual condition of the Vehicle before bidding.
§5. Final Provisions
- This Procedure comes into force on 2026-05-16 and may be amended by the Operator at any time, with notice given to Buyers via e-mail or the Account.
- This Procedure is governed by Polish law and shall be interpreted together with the Terms of Order and the Terms of Service.
